Little Red Dog Studios

Shannon Locker is a fine art photographer who resides in Bucks County Pennsylvania.  She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Photography with a minor in Women’s Studies from Kutztown University. Post college she worked as a studio manager and assistant at a commercial photography studio.  In recent years Shannon has traveled the United States managing and photographing various promotions.  Her final tour was “Old Navy’s Canine Casting Call” where she had the fortune of photographing thousands of dogs competing to be the next mascot for Old Navy’s ad campaign.  For the past four years Shannon has partnered with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) for an ongoing photography project.  This project allows her to volunteer her photographic abilities to capture images of shelter animals. These photographs are featured in a yearly auction and calendar in which all profits benefit the animal shelter.  Shannon’s inspiration to focus on pet photography grew from the tragic and sudden loss of her own pet due to a horrible fire in the autumn of 2005.  Realizing she had very few photos of her min pin, Ruby, she greatly understood the need to capture images of pets that would be mementos for years to come.   Through her love of Photography and passion for preserving the memory of our loved ones Little Red Dog Studios was born.
